What is Baptism?
Baptism is an immersion into the Life of Christ!
It is the beginning of a Life of Faith.
Baptism is offered to all who have faith in Jesus.
From the moment after birth, to the moment before death,
one can be Baptized.
“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”Saint Matthew 28:19

Requirements:
- Parents must attend a preparation session conducted by our Baptismal Preparation Team.
- One godparent is required for Baptism, but two (a male and a female) may be recorded in the baptismal record. A godparent must be Catholic, at least 16 years of age, be baptized, confirmed, and have celebrated First Eucharist. They must be actively practicing their Catholic faith. A baptized, non-Catholic Christian may serve as a Christian witness to a Baptism along with a Catholic godparent. It is entirely allowable for each child to have a Christian witness as well. A Christian witness is an adult who is baptized in a Christian tradition other than Catholic and is practicing in that Christian tradition. The Christian witness, however, is not considered a second godparent but can be listed as a Christian witness in our parish’s official sacrament record and on a baptismal certificate.
- Complete and submit the electronic Baptismal Information Form. Baptisms are not scheduled until the form is received and a staff member will contact you.
- Contact the Parish office at 502-348-3126 if you have any questions.
